Department of Biochemistry of NSC Government Medical college Khandwa is best among the all government medical colleges of central India. Professor & Head of the department is Dr. Shaikh M. Khaliq, who has been working since inception of medical college . He is MBBS, MD in biochemistry who worked in different medical colleges and well experienced senior faculty. He developed the department very well .Our main aim is teaching, training and focus on research. There are other teaching faculties as per norms of NMC, India. Biochemistry department consist of one practical Laboratory for under graduate training and teaching and other courses .Two demonstration halls to conduct group discussion, tutorials, lecture cum demonstrations and other teaching activities. Library cum Seminar room and faculty rooms as per norms of NMC, India. Lecture hall is well equipped with teaching tools as per norms of NMC. Our college is NMC reorganized . We have adjoining Hospital (Civil Hospital of Khandwa and associated Hospitals) of medical college. We have clinical biochemistry lab in which there is 24 hours sample collection facilities. Medical faculty is rotated 8 hrly to check the reports of investigations of IPD & OPD patients. There are 500-700 IPD & OPD patients who under go Laboratory investigations . Laboratory technicians and lab Attendants are there to manage sample processing and help to other Laboratory works. Our lab worked as Covid lab during pandemic of Covid -19 .We have fully automated analyzer, semi automated analyzer, Electrolyte analyzer, Elisa reader, blood gas analyzer and many other instruments required as per norms of NMC . We contributed lot in patients diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. We mainly focus on patients care and cure. Moto :- Our main moto is teaching, training and focus on research . Very soon we can go for post graduation course in biochemistry.
