Nandkumar Singh Chouhan Government Medical College Khandwa is situated in the district of Khandwa which is guarded by the Narmada River from one side and the Satpura hill range from the other side. Khandwa is a city in the Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Khandwa District, formerly known as East Nimar District. Khandwa is an ancient city, with many places of worship, like many other cities in India. Most temples are Hindu or Jain. During the 12th century CE, it was a center of Jainism. During British rule, it replaced nearby Burhanpur (now a separate district) as the main commercial center of the Nimad region.
Nandkumar Singh Chouhan Government Medical College Khandwa is one of the seven new medical colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh which came into existence in the year 2017-18. NSCGMC has a lush green campus spread over an area of 34 acres. The Medical Education complex is beautiful architecture and is landscaped well both from a utility and aesthetic point of view. The serene and spacious environment has earned the distinction of being one of the best medical complexes.

A combination of orthodox and modern teaching techniques has been acquired to give budding minds the best fuel to become the best doctors in our Country. The institute has an air-conditioned and soundproof lecture theatre with the latest audio-visual aids including video conferencing for telemedicine. The College is presently teaching MBBS course with 120 annual intake and paramedical courses.
The College has initiated Postgraduate courses in 6 departments- Pediatrics, ENT, PSM, FMT, Pathology, and Microbiology with a total of 24 seats. The college has applied for postgraduate seats in almost all departments.
Library:
Nandkumar Singh Chouhan Government Medical College, Khandwa has developed a well-equipped Central Library to cater to the information requirements of Students and faculty for their academic accomplishments. The library has built a collection of more than 3,000 books to support academic curricula, teaching, and research in various subjects including encyclopedias, Handbooks, Journals, Newspapers, etc Central Library is located in the center point of the institute. The central library building has 3 floors. The Central Library is well-illuminated and fully air-conditioned. It has a good ambiance and is free from noise. In the initial phase, the Central Library has more than 3000 text and reference books. The library has subscribed to various national and international journals. Library facilities and services are supported by qualified and efficient staff members who provide information services to the users. It is also available to end users on campus. Near future all library services will be made automated.
Sports:
The college has its own Sports Complex situated inside the campus which has one badminton court with wooden flooring, a Gym, table tennis and carrom playing facilities. There is a volleyball court, a ground which is used to play cricket and football.
Auditorium:
The Auditorium is centrally air-conditioned with a capacity of 350 seats equipped with state of art audio-visual aid.
